Company Vision
"Our vision is to provide a seamless platform for manufacturing companies to improve quality and reduce costs .This vision will
allow them to achieve the same results in their subcontractors using the internet. Our goal is to add additional services that will make us the
first available communication tool or facebook for manufacturing around the world."
How did Net-inspect start and why?
The company was founded in 2001 when entrepreneur Mike Dunlop started designing a system for his own Aerospace manufacturing company.
This led to the software being put on the internet late in 2002. Net-inspect was one of the first software as a service businesses (SaaS).
The aim was to provide a broad range of software products that could be used inexpensively by other manufacturing companies.
Mike had long felt uncomfortable with the cost and complexity of traditional software offerings so as a contrarian he decided to offer a product
that was inexpensive, had monthly contracts that could easily be cancelled together with no set up fees The goal was also to have the system fully operational in an hour.
He also wanted to have no charge per user or annual maintenance fees, just a site license so all costs would be transparent .
These hidden costs had always made it difficult to know the cost of traditional software services ahead of time.
Mike also wanted to provide software that was intuitive and could be installed without expensive installation consultants and required no capital expense.
The value of consultants he felt was better used helping companies change business practices and driving cost saving changes using data created by the system.
The concept has caught on very quickly and now Net-inspect has over 1400+ companies in 40 countries using the software 24/7.
