net-inspect's hosted facilities are designed to provide customers with the security, power and flexibility they need to create successful businesses. Our data management centers are state-of-the-art facilities. Each center includes: HVAC, humidity controlled, secured access, on-site security personnel, UPS-backed power feeds, alarm systems, video surveillance and motion detectors in selected areas. Our data management centers are staffed around-the-clock with on-site support and skilled technicians. Our facilities have enhanced security features and strict maintenance standards to protect the critical infrastructure of our customers.
Network Security Features
Our network architecture is designed from the ground up with security in mind. Filtering, firewalling, and intrusion detection functions are performed using a defense-in-depth approach at multiple points throughout the network. All security systems are tightly integrated into our network management system, which provides immediate alarms to operational staff whenever suspicious activity occurs.
Physical Security Features
Comprehensive physical security features and industry-leading security procedures are designed to protect servers and equipment housed in our data management centers. Security personnel request appropriate identification from visitors and record each visit. Key cards, electro-mechanical locks and biometric readers are used to ensure that only those authenticated and authorized to enter gain access. Security cameras monitor activity throughout the facility, including equipment areas, corridors and mechanical, shipping and receiving areas. Exterior cameras cover entrances, parking lots, rooftops and exterior facilities, such as generators and mechanical equipment. Digital cameras, motion detectors and alarms are located throughout the facilities, and silent alarms automatically notify security and law enforcement personnel of security breaches.
Fire Suppression and Water Mitigation
Each data center is equipped with fire and smoke detectors, alarms and extinguishing systems based on local building codes. This includes FM-200 fire suppression systems, dry-pipe sprinkler systems and under-floor leak detection systems.
Environmental Controls
Heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems provide appropriate and consistent airflow, temperature and humidity levels. The systems are fully redundant and are monitored 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Maintenance contracts with local vendors specify an immediate response time in the event of emergency.
Power Distribution and Backup Power Supply
Our data management centers provide multiple levels of built-in power redundancy for the highest levels of availability. Local power supplies enter the buildings via diverse services from local electric utilities and feed into separate busses, providing diverse power distribution. Battery and Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) backup power sources automatically take over in emergencies and are augmented by 1.25 mega-watt diesel generators.
Internet Connectivity
Continuous network availability, with enough capacity to accommodate expected and unexpected peaks in traffic, is critical to the success of an enterprise customer. Our data management centers are equipped with fast, redundant fiber connections that offer flexible bandwidth options, "burstable" capacity on demand and no single point of failure. We maintain partnerships and alliances with multiple major telecommunications carriers and Tier One Internet service providers.
