Net-Inspect Joins the Digital Metrology Standards Consortium

Membership strengthens Net-Inspect's commitment to QIF and open, interoperable quality data standards across the aerospace and precision manufacturing supply chain

KIRKLAND, WA - September 22, 2026 - Net-Inspect®, a global leader in secure, cloud-based quality management software and supply chain visibility, recently announced it has joined the Digital Metrology Standards Consortium (DMSC), the ANSI-accredited standards development organization behind the Quality Information Framework (QIF), the ISO standard for digital metrology and model-based quality data (ISO 23952:2020).

Across aerospace, defense, and precision manufacturing, quality data is still re-keyed, re-formatted, and re-validated at nearly every handoff between OEMs, suppliers, and inspection systems. Open standards like QIF exist to fix that: they let characteristic data, measurement plans, and inspection results carry forward with the part through the entire digital thread. As a DMSC member, Net-Inspect moves from supporting that vision to helping shape it, contributing to the continued development of QIF, QIF interoperability, and the Model-Based Characteristics (MBC) standard.

Net-Inspect joins a DMSC membership that includes Lockheed Martin, Pratt & Whitney, Honeywell, Deere & Company, Hexagon, Renishaw, and Mitutoyo America, among other leaders in digital metrology and model-based enterprise. Net-Inspect looks forward to collaborating with fellow members to empower open standards and advance QIF adoption across the supply chain.
